Pathways to Policing Virtual Event

On Thursday 12 May 2022, we hosted a virtual event covering Pathways to Policing and Criminology.

We had a range of speakers talking about the range of routes that you can take toward working for the police force. Daniella Lord, Positive Action Recruitment Advisor (Suffolk Constabulary) and Vice-Chair of the Suffolk Ethnic Police Association (SEPA) delivered a presentation on PEQF entry routes into the police force. She was joined by Detective Constable Jason Thomas (Joint Learning and Development) who talked us through his career and how he is aiding in writing some of the academic content for recruiting officers. We also had a talk by one of our own lecturers, Robin Herne who give a taster on what you can expect when you study criminology with us.
