Closure of the partnership arrangement between West Suffolk College
and the University of Suffolk

The partnership between the University of Suffolk and West Suffolk College is in the process of being withdrawn, with no new recruitment to University of Suffolk validated programmes at West Suffolk College beyond the 2020-21 academic year.

All students who commenced their course at West Suffolk College under the awarding authority of the University of Suffolk in 2020-21 or earlier will remain registered with the University of Suffolk and will be taught under the current partnership arrangement in accordance with the University’s Student Protection Plan. Courses will continue to operate in accordance with University of Suffolk regulations, policies and procedures, with students eligible for a University of Suffolk award upon successful completion of their course.

Preserving continuity of study for University of Suffolk students at the College is a key priority for both institutions. All remaining University of Suffolk students will continue to have full access to all of the support services and facilities at the University’s main campus in Ipswich, including the Students’ Union, student services, financial services, the library services and the extensive e-resource database, Summon. The University will continue to oversee the quality and academic standards of all of its awards delivered at the College.
